Mission
Our mission is to equip churches with the tools and resources they need to accommodate students with disabilities in their ministries and programs and to present the gospel to them in a way that is accessible. Our dream for this mission is that behavioral and instructional barriers will no longer stand in the way of students learning about who Jesus is and his love for them.
Vision
Our vision is to help churches create accessible environments where each child has access to the behavioral and instructional supports needed to effectively access the Gospel and grow in their faith.
Lexi
Hi friend! Welcome to The Adapted Way. My name is Lexi and I am a special education teacher on a mission to help churches welcome and embrace students with disabilities in their programs. With over 7 years of experience in serving students with disabilities and their families, I’m ecstatic to share all that I’ve learned about accessibility with you. Together, we’ll make sure every student who walks through your doors gets the support they need to access the Gospel!
Ministry
Experience
For the past 4 years, I have volunteered with a ministry that shares the Good News with teenagers who have disabilities. It’s been an incredible journey full of love, joy, and friendship!
Teaching Experience
I’ve had experience working with students of all ages and disabilities. For the past year and a half, I’ve been the lead teacher in a special education pre-k class that champions inclusion, where my students have diverse and complex needs.
Community Experience
Throughout college, I had the privilege of working with various families to support their students in gaining life skills and independence.
